July 2026: A Carl Update!
HELLO LOVELY SMITTEN PEOPLE
And HELLO JULY!
How are you all going?
It's been a HUGE milestone week for us; Carl has finally been discharged AT LAST from the Austin hospital! It's all been quite surreal, and a wild mixture of joy, relief and disbelief. After ten long months - SO many emotions!! He is doing brilliantly - so positive and so delighted to be back in the world, and straight outside in 6 degrees to have coffee at the local cafe! Time to celebrate! I'm awed by his optimism and ability to enjoy the moment.
I think my Carl was always wise - but this Carl is certainly embodying the power of now and teaching us about it too
I know you've all been there beside us, so thank you for your love and support - I read him all your emails, he is very touched.
