Women's Merino Wool Underwear (Boxer Shorts)

Update on my previous review. I gave them to my 10 year old son and he loves them as sleep shorts. I bought size small in light grey marl.

I had been considering these for a while but was hesitant to get a pair as I wouldn’t be able to return, so when a pair in my size went on sale I thought I’d give them a go. Firstly, I was wanting them to wear as underwear. As a female, I don’t feel these are fit for that purpose. As previous review points out, they are two halves sewn together, with no gusset in the crotch, so not great as underwear. I also felt the waist band was firm and sat mid on my body. The legs were loose and were not fitted, again not making them fit for the purpose I had intended them for. These might be ok if you were after some short shorts but I’m not keen on them as I don’t like the waist band. I’d love to see a more gender specific cut as these are unisex and probably more suited to men as underwear. I’d love to see a pair of these made similar to the Bonds Icons Super Logo Shorts but with a waist band similar to the Smitten tights and then offered with bundle discounts. I’d definitely buy them!

The material is lovely, no complaints there.
But these shorts are comprised of two halves sewn together. The centre seam goes all the way from front to back, with no gusset for your crotch.
I don't appreciate the way the seam rides up and rubs, and the photos are insufficient at showing this detail.
I feel I would need to wear these shorts with underwear underneath to prevent the dreaded front wedgie, which just defeats the whole purpose for me.

Can I just say how excellent the Smitten Boy Leg Shorts are? I've become obsessed with merino underwear and these are the best fitting that I've found. I don't know why I didn't get them before!
