June 2026: It's Smitten Season
HELLO LOVELY SMITTEN PEOPLE
How are you going? Hello June (a couple of weeks in already!)
Wonderful Winter is definitely in the house! We're heading towards the Winter Solstice this Sunday 21st June, and it's already VERY cold here in Tassie, but it's cosy... do you love it, or just grit your teeth and get through it? It's good if you love coats and scarves and boots!!
Life is certainly very busy in Smitten land. Some of my lovely Smitten team making life changes and moving states (waaaahh!) Then there's EOFY time of year, eeeek - Carl has always managed tax time, so that's been a life lesson for me this year - woah, there's a lot to do! Lucky he still gives me great advice; his brain is as sharp as ever.
We are hoping to have Carl out of hospital in the next 2 to 3 weeks, which is a very cheering prospect- will keep you posted.
At least winter makes cooking more fun - having a roast and maybe self-saucing choc pudding in the oven (trying to inspire myself here!), and some delicious aromas permeating the kitchen, all much better when there's a chill in the air!
