This top has the same great shape, fit and length as the rest of the long sleeve crew range. It is however incredibly warm and designed to be worn in the coldest conditions.

Great for a base layer when fishing in a mountain river or highland lake. We have many Tasmania, Australian Fly fishermen loving these tops and also Tasmania, Australian Police Search and Rescue Helicopter Crew wear these tops.

For the warmth these tops generate they are far less bulky than alternative clothing.

Exceptionally good

The top and associated leggings are without doubt the most comfortable and effective thermals I have worn. I have worn various types over 40 years of fly fishing in the highlands of Tasmania, but also during 17 expeditions to the Antarctic. The Smitten thermals are much warmer, and better fitting than even a well-known, popular New Zealand brand. I wore the Smitten thermals over three days fishing in very cold winter conditions, frozen ground, ice around the lake, water 4°, air temperature dropping to zero at sunset. The thermals kept me very warm, including fingers and toes because body, arms and legs were appropriately warm. The thermals kept their shape and firm fit, no sagging, and felt like a second skin. I didn’t even notice I was wearing them.

SOoooo Comfey

I brought 3 smitten base layers last year and this is the one i wore the least but this winter its become my FAV. its super warm and comfy as a base layer in the cold worn under a jacket or jumper yet warm enough to wear in the garden on 21c winter days.. I will be buying a 2nd 360g this year... in short..., its the BEST base Layer Merino Top i have ever had.

Warmest top I own

I bought this shirt to wear as pajamas as we don't have heating in our house and I freeze over winter. It hasn't disappointed - noticeably warmer than other merino tops, being more like a jumper in warmth but not with a jumper's bulk. I have also been layering with it during the day and only regret that I do not own more! Would love to see the colour range extended.
