Make for Me (previously Pre Order) refers to items that are currently out of stock but can be made especially for you. Items are identical to the garment listing (style, colour and size) shown online but production only begins when an order is received. This allows us to use the fabric only where it is needed and without over stocking on certain items.

To request a Make for Me item, add the item (style, colour & size) to your cart by clicking the green "Make for Me" button and proceed to checkout in the usual way.

Once you have processed payment you will receive an order confirmation email.

If your order contains multiple items, any in-stock garments will be sent immediately, with your Make for Me item/s to follow.

The average production time frame is 4-8 weeks from order date but please allow more time for fabric production, delays with the seamstresses or any unexpected interruptions. Some Make to Order items arrive earlier than anticipated but occasionally there are delays and order fulfillment occurs outside the average 4-8 week timeframe.

Smitten seamstresses work very hard to ensure your order is with you as soon as possible but as they are an independent business, there can be delays from other areas of their work and this can slow production.

We aim to fulfill orders as quickly as possible but if there is an event or special occasion you would like to wear your Make for Me item to, please contact us before placing your order.

Orders are automatically fulfilled once complete by the seamstresses. All Make for Me parcels are sent premium express to ensure they are with you as quickly as possible with tracking provided via email at the time of dispatch.

Make for Me only applies to certain styles and colours. If an item shows as SOLD OUT they are not able to be restocked or made to order (you will not be able to add these to your cart for purchase).

To identify a Make for Me item, please look for the green "Make for Me" button that appears when you select your chosen colour and size (this replaces the usual "ADD TO CART" button).

We want you to always love your Smitten and if the Make to Order item is not quite right, we accept returns in accordance with our standard returns and exchanges policy.

As each garment is made specifically for your order, we are unable to cancel or alter Make for Me items once payment is made. If you have made an error with your order, please contact us immediately.
