From the high neckline (for added sun protection) to the flattering detailing of the waistline and double hem, this firm fit dress nips in at the waist to a wide band that creates perfect hourglass shaping, with the aid of a true a-line skirt that rests just on your knees.

We pair it with with some strappy sandals, a wide brim sun hat and a scarf or wrap for draping around our shoulders. Alternatively with leggings and a Winter coat!

Close to perfect

I always feel beautifully polished in this dress. I'd originally ordered the Mary dress and it didn't hit me right, but this one, the Indiana, works even better for me than my Florence. Both waist seams are a little high on me (I'm 5'8"/172 cm and long-waisted) but the Indiana makes it more flattering with the upper white stripe.

The one problem I've found is that the hemline white stripe likes to roll and twist every time I wash the dress. I usually have to pull at the fabric while it's drying to encourage it in the right direction, and then spend some time with an iron to get it truly flat. That said, I still love the dress, and I'm still a big fan of Smitten.
