Hope all is going smoothly in your life. Mine is somewhat chaotic... but we are working it out. 

Hope you're enjoying summer, and if you are holidaying, all the better. Take time to rest and refuel your battery for the year.

It IS the year of the Fire Horse & that's my year, so that's got to help... Plus, time to say goodbye to almost half the dress range...

This was us back then in 1990, when we were young and full of hope! We look a bit different today but very proud of what we've achieved together in 3 and a half decades...

Because life keeps rolling gently forward, as SPRING comes to an end and we can almost smell Summer, the rhythm of the seasons keeps happening.

I also wanted to say Thank You all so much for the many beautiful messages of love and support for Carl- they mean so much. We feel very honoured.

September has been an unimaginable month for our family. I'm not sure where to start, as our lives have been completely shattered in the last two weeks.

I like August - there are glimmers of sunshine, some shy blossoms blooming around the place, excitable birds, and the promise of spring ahead. Although it's not quite the same birthday-wise when kids don't live at home anymore!

Winter is about reading, napping, knitting, bushwalking, mulled wine, long baths, pumpkin soup, steamed puddings and hot cacao in front of the fire... and whatever else warms your heart.

Hopefully staying warm in your Smitten woollies and enjoying the cosiness of the chilly season. Embracing rest and hibernation if you can, as it's officially the darkest week of the year!
